The Making of the #StyleforJustice Collection
Many of you have been following our #StyleforJustice journey since last summer, when we traveled to Rwanda with International Justice Mission and an influential group of storytellers to explore how business and fashion are empowering women to overcome injustice. While in Rwanda, the storytellers formed teams and collaborated with Artisans to design five unique accessories.
We loved seeing the meaningful connections that developed between the storytellers and Artisans as they worked together to create five beautiful products. Without even speaking the same language, they bonded over family photos, a shared love of fashion, and lots of laughter.
Back in the United States, over 3,500 women gathered on one day for one purpose at #StyleforJustice Trunk Shows across the country. The Noonday community has spoken, and the winning designs are the Fierce Clutch, designed by storytellers Jen Hatmaker and Meredith Toering with Artisans Charlotte, Anastasie and Astrida, and the Vibrant Tote, designed by storytellers Jennie Allen and Paige Knudsen with Artisans Fanny, Asha and Clementine. These pieces, along with our Justice Journal, which was designed by storyteller Emily Lex of Jones Design Company and made in India, are now available for purchase as beautiful reminders that justice begins with each of us!
