Host a Mother-Daughter Trunk Show!
Summer is on the horizon, and with it come more days at the pool, more afternoon picnics, and more time to spend with the teens and tweens in your life. And what better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with by gathering the moms and daughters you love for a fun time of styling, storytelling and shopping! Our Ambassadors are chock full of creative Trunk Show tips, so we asked them to share some of their favorite ideas for pulling together an inspired Mother-Daughter Trunk Show.
Mother-Daughter Style Challenge
“Have the mothers and daughters participate in friendly style challenges! Come up with fun prompts like, ‘Style your mom in an arm party that pushes her out of her comfort zone,’ or ‘Find a necklace that perfectly sums up your daughter’s personality.’ Having the mothers style the girls and vice versa is a great opportunity to make each other feel beautiful and seen.” – Camille Stanberry, Washington
“To get people excited about the Trunk Show, I emailed out stories to all of the guests about some of the amazing mothers we partner with to create Noonday’s pieces. Then at the Trunk Show, I teamed up with my Hostess to decorate using some beautiful photos of these Artisan mothers with their daughters. It’s a great way to help people make a connection between their own lives and the Artisans’ lives!” – Osheta Moore, California
Instagram with Purpose
“I planned an Instagram challenge using the hashtag #noondayinstachallenge that was so fun! At the Trunk Show, I posted signs around the Trunk Show telling the mothers and daughters to take a selfie in their favorite Noonday pieces, and to tag me and #NoondayStyle. This entered them in a drawing for a Noonday gift voucher, which got everyone excited to participate! After all the pictures had been posted, I created a fun collage and shared it with everyone. I plan on doing this again for sure. It was a big hit!” – Jessica Ly, Georgia
Treats with a Twist
“It was so fun getting both the girls and their moms engaged in the Trunk Show. One way my Hostess and I did that was by having a delicious decorate-your-own “fruit pizza” bar! Paired with some yummy strawberry lemonade, it made for a tasty and interactive snack!” – Amanda Collins, Missouri
“There are lots of great ways to create an engaging Trunk Show, including activities that can be done before the Trunk Show itself! If you’re a Hostess planning a show with your daughter, creating fun DIY decorations together is a great way to start. You get to spend some time together learning something new that you can use at your Trunk Show and beyond! This adorable tissue paper garland would make a great decoration for a bedroom wall or a Trunk Show display!” – Laura Loewen, Colorado
