How to Host a Fun and Easy Trunk Show - Flourish by Noonday Collection

How to Host a Fun and Easy Trunk Show

Today on Flourish we’re interviewing Allison Lime, Noonday Collection’s VP of Sales and Ambassador Development. Allison is a mom of three teenagers who calls Houston, Texas home. Although she’s new to Noonday, she’s not new to living a life of purpose. Allison and her family have travelled to Haiti and Honduras to build children’s homes, medical clinics and schools. She’s also incredibly passionate about empowering women – and about Trunk Shows!

Are you partnering with your Ambassador to change the world this spring? Here are a few tips to make your Trunk Show fun, meaningful and easy!

Allison Lime Trunk Show Expert

Thanks for agreeing to share your Trunk Show wisdom with us, Allison! In your opinion, what’s the best thing about getting friends together for a Trunk Show?

Women need women. We need to know we are enough and we are not alone. Women can be so hard on themselves, but when women gather to encourage, love and support one another, they are unstoppable!

What I love most about Trunk Shows is watching women lift up other woman. Each of us has the power to make another woman feel special and beautiful and important. Every single time I get to witness this beauty, I am inspired and hopeful about the world.

Yes! We truly are better together. And Trunk Shows are not just about connecting with other women. They are also about shopping for amazing jewelry. What’s so fun about shopping with other women in your community?

Women are honest! A friend will always tell you what looks great. She will build you up when you need a boost and push you out of your comfort zone if you need to grow. And, it’s way more fun to shop together!

So it’s the day of your Trunk Show. Your house is a mess, your kids are hungry, and your friends are coming in one hour. What’s your next move?

Clean your kitchen, your bathroom and one gathering area. Your Noonday Ambassador will bring her display of gorgeous accessories. All she needs is somewhere to set up! Make some fun and simple snacks and drinks – and you’re ready enjoy a meaningful time with your friends.

Does your house need to be perfect?

Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, perfection is counterproductive. To grow our impact, we want everyone who comes to a Trunk Show to think, “I could do that!” And let’s face it, guests don’t wander too far from the jewelry and the snacks, so don’t worry about the rest of your house. Embrace your mess!

Do you need a big house to host a Trunk Show?

Not at all! All your Ambassador needs is a little room to display her jewelry and accessories. Cozy spaces are great for creating connection. Small houses can make a big impact!

Let’s talk sips and snacks. What are you go-to easy recipes?

Keep it SIMPLE! I go for something salty, something sweet, and something healthy. My favorite simple snack is a block of cream cheese covered in raspberry chipotle sauce with pita chips. And you can’t go wrong with a baked spinach and artichoke dip. For drinks, I love to serve mimosas with fresh raspberries for brunch Trunk Shows and white wine sangria with fresh fruit in the evening.

What about hungry kids – and husbands? Do you have any strategies to make Trunk Show night fun for your family?

If I’m hosting a show, I often choose a night when my family has other activities and allow dad to take the lead. Another fun option is pizza and movie night with dad upstairs!

A Trunk Show is a great reason to gather women in your neighborhood. Why not use this as a reason to get the dads and kids together at the park or another house for something fun?

At the end of the day, hosting a Trunk Show is all about making an impact. What’s your advice to a Hostess who wants to make as great an impact as possible?

Don’t just send an invitation by email! Call or text everyone to let them know you want them to come. Encourage everyone to bring a friend – or three. Remember that you are giving people an opportunity to get styled and to change the world. What could be more fun and meaningful? Also, reach out to friends and family who can’t come to the Trunk Show in person. Invite them to shop online and make an impact!

Thanks Allison for sharing a little of your wisdom with our community! Learn how you can partner with a Noonday Ambassador to style your friends and change the world.
